Our Mission

New Vision Organization, Inc is focused on extensive efforts to re-establish
positive interaction and communication between incarcerated individuals, their
families, and the diversified communities nationwide to assure all goals are met.

We strive to educate the public on cultural awareness and the issues of
discrimination, racism, and hatred which results in increased crime and
unnecessary human destruction.

New Vision Organization works in unity with community members, advocacy
groups,service providers and prison staff throughout the country. In doing so,
our aim is to assure prisoners’ rights are not violated, and that they receive the
necessary rehabilitation, legal, and educational services that should be offered to
all incarcerated men, woman, and children throughout the United States.

The issues:

When someone is incarcerated, the intent is to punish them and resolve the
behavior that caused the individual to break the law. If these two things can
not be achieved in a responsible and reasonable manner, then the prison
system only proves to be useless, or worse, a catalyst of more severe behavior

In most cases, once an individual serves their sentence they will be released
back into society. So regardless of the crime they committed, it is in societies
best interest that these individuals be as rehabilitated as possible.

If an incarcerated individual has to be more concerned with protecting him or her
self from other inmates or corrections officers instead of focusing on improving
themselves, then obviously rehabilitation is futile.

Without serious reform, prisons will remain intolerably ineffective. The ever-present
Issues of inmate violence, staff violence, weapons, drugs, blackmail, and extortion,
do not make a conduciive environment for any type of rehabillatation.

It is our goal to help affect this change in America’s prison systems, and to assist
those who wish to make a positive change in their lives, despite their environment
or past.
